We recently performed strip and re-tube services for a transfer line exchanger (or TLE).
To support a fast, efficient turnaround process we collected specifications and customer requirements upfront—and fabricated new replacement bundle components in advance.
During the process, our fabrication team worked around the clock, 24-7, to remove the top and bottom channels, in order to make the needed repairs.
Once the channels were removed, we were able to immediately install the new tube bundle. We then welded the channels back to the heat exchanger.
Our expedited work process was critical to keeping our customers' turnaround schedule on-track.
In addition to these tasks, we also performed strength welding of the tubes to the tube sheet, local PWHT, and painting of cut parts - all using our in-house capabilities.
